Hi, I'm Suzanne!

A few years ago, when I turned 50, I did what many women do at life’s crossroads: I paused and asked myself, Am I moving in the direction I want to go?

I felt grateful for so much, yet sensed there was more. More vitality. More joy. More alignment.

As a young woman, I didn’t always feel at home in myself. Like many of us, I struggled with self-talk and body image. Over time, through yoga and self-inquiry, that inner struggle softened. But something was still missing, a deeper understanding of how to live in harmony with my body and nature.

Then, in 2005, I discovered yoga. It changed everything. I began teaching soon after, blending it with my background in dance and Pilates. Not long after, I found Ayurveda, which offered me the missing piece: a daily rhythm and a way of living that truly sustains me.

Today, through Centered Living, I support women who want to live with more balance, self-trust, and joy, women who are ready to reclaim their energy and design lives that truly feel like their own.

Through years of study and practice, I’ve witnessed the power of these teachings in myself and in the hundreds of women I’ve worked with. These practices helped me feel more vibrant and at ease in my 50s than I ever thought possible, and they continue to deepen with time.

Whether through Embodied Vitality, Embodied Wisdom, the Centered Living Circle, or an immersive retreat, I help women reconnect with what’s natural, true, and sustaining.

And when I’m not teaching or coaching, you’ll often find me leading yoga retreats across the globe, inviting others to take their practice off the mat and into the heart of life.

Come join me. Let’s rediscover what it means to thrive.

When we listen to our bodies and honor our natural rhythms,

we unlock the power to heal, thrive,

and step fully into the life we’ve always imagined.

WHY YOGA & AYURVEDA

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda can be translated as the study (veda) of life (ayur) — or more simply, it can be seen as “living knowledge” – an ever evolving system that supports and nourishes us throughout our lives, body, mind, and heart. Ayurveda not only teaches us how to stay connected to the rhythms of our own body and the rhythms of nature, but it also reminds us that we each already have within us the wisdom to feel more healthy, radiant, and resilient. Rather than just a set of rules, it’s a way of understanding who you are. It’s a practice of deep listening, truth, and self-compassion. It responds to what you need at any given moment.

Ayurveda helps you see the world through the lens of Svastha — being established in your Self, grounded, aligned, and vibrantly well. This is radiant health: not perfection, but the natural glow that comes from living in harmony with your true nature – your digestion, skin, eyes, and your smile tell your story.

Why this matters for women…

As we move through the phases of our lives, everything shifts — hormones, energy, sleep, digestion, emotions, even our identity.
Ayurveda gives us language and tools for these transitions. It helps you understand:

          • why your energy rises and falls
          • what your body is truly asking for
          • how to navigate stress and overwhelm
          • how to support digestion, metabolism, and sleep
          • how to cultivate steadiness and clarity as you evolve
          • how to deepen your relationship to yourself and others

How it supports everyday life…

Ayurveda is beautifully practical. It meets you right where you are — in your kitchen, in your daily routines, and in your relationships to life, to others, and yourself.

Simple shifts make the biggest difference:

        • eating in a way that supports digestion
        • creating nourishing rhythms that sustain energy
        • adjusting habits with the seasons
        • reducing stress through grounding rituals
        • honoring your capacity instead of pushing past it

These changes help you return to Svastha — that place inside where you feel steady, at ease, and vividly alive. Ayurveda brings you back to your natural state: radiant health, clarity, and deep self-compassion.

What is Yoga?

Yoga, which means to yoke or unite, is a practice that merges body, breath, and mind. It’s awareness that can strengthen your body, quiet your mind, and reconnect you to your center. It combines tools like asana (movement) pranayama (breathwork) and meditation and mantra (mental focus and clarity).

Yoga is about coming home to yourself.

Why it matters for women 40+…
Our bodies shift. Our emotions shift. Our sense of identity shifts.
Yoga gives you a way to:

        • build strength and stability
        • reduce stiffness and aches
        • support hormone balance
        • release stress stored in your body
        • quiet the mental noise
        • reconnect with a sense of purpose and joy

Yoga reminds you that you are not only your physical body, it’s aches, pains, and changes, but you are also so much more. We learn to awaken to all parts of us.

How it supports everyday life:

        • short morning practices to set your tone for the day
        • breathwork to calm anxiety or overwhelm
        • simple movements to relieve tension from sitting or caregiving
        • restorative practices to help you sleep more deeply
        • mindfulness that helps you respond, not react

Yoga helps you feel strong, steady, and spacious — even on the busiest days.

Together, Yoga & Ayurveda are magic, like two sides of a coin, yin and yang, day and night. Yoga and Ayurveda arise from the same ancient Vedic wisdom that seeks to understand life in its fullest expression — from the human body and mind to the greater cosmos itself. Within this tradition, each holds a distinct yet deeply connected role.

They are not simply two separate healing systems that happen to be related. Rather, Yoga and Ayurveda are complementary paths that inform and support one another, often intersecting in both philosophy and practice, offering a more complete approach to balance, healing, and self-realization.

How it supports everyday life:

  • feel more grounded in who you are
  • build sustainable energy instead of pushing through exhaustion
  • move your body in ways that feel loving, not punishing
  • create simple habits that support vitality
  • honor the woman you are becoming

They are a complete system of well-being. They give you a path to live with clarity, confidence, and ease — in a phase of life where you are meant to shine.
